Roach treatment, especially cockroach remediation techniques, effectively eliminate various pests around your home but is incredibly disgusting roach infestation. If you ever spot a cockroach, do not wait to call a professional for cockroach treatment to get them out of your home or business. A pest control professional will make a plan to tackle your cockroach infestation as quickly as possible, whether it is cockroach remediation or another technique. Here are some essential things to know about cockroaches:
1. Cockroaches are dangerous. Cockroaches can be big trouble for people living with asthma and carry allergies and bacteria. If cockroaches walk your food, you may get sick from unhygienic roach infestation. Roach remediation treatment is essential for removing these dirty germ spreaders from your property. 2. Roaches can survive without food AND can eat anything. Roaches can survive for up to a month without eating. Starving them is not an option, and neither is depriving them of human food. Roaches can eat anything from hair, stamps, and cardboard. So even if you clean your kitchen from top to bottom, that won't stop the roaches from camping out in your house. They'll eat just about anything. Roach remediation will treat the problem by ridding disgusting roaches from your kitchen and home for good. 3. Roach families are HUGE. Cockroaches have large families and spread fast. Did you know that ONE German cockroach can have up to 30,000 baby cockroaches in a year? You don't want 30,000 roaches in your home- ever. The longer you wait, the more there will be. Immediate cockroach treatment is vital to stop the spread of cockroaches.

One uninvited guest, you never want to stop by your home or office, is a cockroach. The problem with these insects is that they can quickly infest a structure, multiplying rapidly. The best method for dealing with a cockroach infestation is prevention; however, there are ways to apply roach treatment to a home or business if they've already moved in.
Signs of An Infestation Cockroaches leave signs that they are in the immediate area, even if you can't see them. Their droppings can be visible, as well as small eggshell remnants. A clear sign of a cockroach infestation would be to flip on the light of a darkened room and witness a flurry of insects retreating from view. More than a nuisance, a roach infestation can invade the kitchen and food supplies, making them unclean and unsafe for people to use. This makes applying a roach treatment crucial for healthy human conditions. Cockroach Treatment You can purchase products from home improvement stores like roach bait for roach infestation. These devices attract bugs with a promising snack but poison them instead for cockroach remediation. Keeping a clean home or office can also go a long way toward cockroach treatment—these insects like cluttered and messy areas, especially where there is food left out. If you remove any food they may be feeding on, they will seek nutrients elsewhere, which can aid your cockroach remediation. For infestations, you may consider calling in a professional exterminator to apply a chemical spray around the building's perimeter for roach remediation. This treatment spray can prevent new roaches from entering your home or office. An exterminator may also provide you some additional strategies for roach remediation by reducing the population of bugs in your residence or office building.
The first sign of flea infestation is flea bites on your skin. These bites look like little red spots and are most likely to be on the parts that rub up against your furniture, such as your arms and legs.
Another way to see if you have a flea problem is if you have a pet. It very easy to spot fleas on you pet. One is to brush them with a fine tooth comb. If you see fleas jumping or small black specs(flea poop)then you definitely have a flea problem. The final way to find out if you have fleas is if you've seen them. Most of the time if you have an infestation you'll know if by little black specs jumping around. A trick to see if you have them is to set a bowl of water and dawn dish soap out, when you wake up in the morning check the bowl. you should see fleas in it. Even if there are only a few in it, its time to find the best flea treatment. Getting rid of a flea infestation is easier than most bug infestations. The best flea treatment is to drive to your nearest hardware store and buy flea treatment. Usually you'll have to vacuum first and spray treatment on your carpets, let it soak the vacuum again. You'll have to repeat that until your problem is gone. I would also recommend washing all your linens to rid yourself off flea eggs. Also if you have pets to be sure to treat them with flea and tick preventative to prevent infestation.
Your home or business is supposed to be an inviting place, but spotting a spider may send shivers down your spine. Different types of arachnid may invade your home or business, but luckily there are various methods of removing them. It’s important to remember that these uninvited guests are likely more afraid of you than you are of them. But you may be wondering, what steps to take and "how to get rid of spiders in my home"? The following are some tips to help you effectively deal with a spider problem.
What is an Infestation? One or two spiders do not constitute a spider infestation. However, if you notice a substantial number of spiders or webs, this could mean a spider infestation for your home or business. These creatures are looking for food, and if you notice significant activity, this could mean even more trouble. If the arachnids find a significant food source in your living area or company headquarters, this likely means another pest is also residing with you. Once you remove the other pest, your spider problem will be eliminated as their food supply is gone. How to Get Rid of Spiders in My Home One great method of removing spiders involves using sticky traps. These cardboard products have a strong sticky backing, which can lay flat or fold into tunnel shapes. Place these along the baseboards near entryways, and spiders will climb in and get stuck. After you notice these traps filling up, press them flat and dispose of them. Another excellent way to remove spiders is to eliminate the conditions they prefer—arachnids like small and dark spaces that remain undisturbed. If you have cluttered rooms or office areas, you’re inadvertently creating an ideal environment for spiders. Clean and neatly organize these areas, and you’ll likely find many eight-legged guests had been living there. Once you collect the remaining spiders from the room, it shouldn’t be as inviting a place if you keep it clean.
About in one in five Americans has experienced a bed bug infestation in their own home or know someone who has. Having bed bugs in your home can be very stressful and frustrating to overcome. First of all you need to know some signs that there may be bed bugs in your midst.
The first sign of a possible bed bug infestation is waking up with bites-especially near the chest and upper torso as bed bugs are attracted to the carbon monoxide humans exhale while sleeping. Some other signs to look for include small blood stains on your pajamas, pillow cases, or sheets, molted exoskeletons and fecal spots, and a strong odor from the bed bug pheromones that is often described as "musty". Next, you need to know what you are looking for. The most common areas to look for bed bugs is along the seams of your mattress and box spring as well as your bed frame. Bed Bugs have small, flat, oval bodies that are about the size of an apple seed. They can appear clear, brown, or reddish in color depending on how recently they have fed. Bed Bugs cannot fly but they can move pretty quickly in search of a meal. So you have found some bed bugs and definitely have an infestation, what now? You can try a bed bug treatment yourself, such as washing all linens, frequent vacuuming, keeping a clean and clutter free bedroom, and obtaining a new mattress with special cover, but even all this may not be enough. For the best bed bug treatment you should definitely call a bed bug exterminator. Completely clearing bed bugs from a home often requires chemical or heat treatments from a trained bed bug exterminator. You don't have to suffer alone, call an expert!
2/16/2021 0 Comments Keep away you Pesky PestAnts can be such pesky pest that can enter your home within hours without you noticing. We know they travel together so where there is one, you can bet there’s more. You can always go out and buy a few cans of ant killer but you may have a few items in your home that will help you keep ants out without ever having to leave. Let’s explore a few ways that can help keep them from entering your life and your home, here we go.
Vinegar and water always does the trick. What you do is find an empty spray bottle and pour half water half white distilled vinegar in it, shake it and spray around all window seals, doorways, and any other place ants could enter through. This is something you could do once a week or as often as you see fit. If you don’t like the smell of vinegar don’t worry, I have another solution for you. Instead of using vinegar, you could use 3 parts lemon juice, 1 part water as an ant deterrent. Spraying the same areas of entrance, this should keep the ants out and smells better. If you enjoy the smell of peppermint then you will enjoy this last one as peppermint is also an ant deterrent. Peppermint has a very strong fragrance that ants cannot tolerate. For this remedy, you will need peppermint essential oil, water, and an empty bottle. In this bottle you will give the peppermint essential oil(brand does not matter) 10 good shakes, fill it up about half way with water, give that a few shakes and spray any potential entry point. This will keep the ants out. As always, do any of the above once a week or as often as needed.
2/11/2021 2 Comments Tracking Troubling TermitesAre you thinking about purchasing a new home? Are you thinking about renovating your current home? Do you keep a lot of firewood lying around your property? If you answered yes to all of the above, it may be time to conduct an inspection for Termites. Thirteen percent of homeowners experience termite damage. Twenty-two percent experience structural damage as a result of termite infestation. Your home could easily be next if you don't know the signs of termite damage.
Spotting the Droplets If you are experiencing a pest or termite infestation of any kind, one of the easiest clues to spot will be pest droppings. Termites eat wood so their droppings tend to resemble saw dust or coffee grounds. Wing Stop Another way to track termites in your home is their wings. Termites shed their wings when they find a suitable mate just like a snake sheds it's skin. If you find the wings on the front porches or in any of the windows, you may be looking at a big problem. Undercover Mud Tubes Termites are also smart enough to use mud tubes to navigate more easily from their colony to the main food source. You can discover these secret tunnels in the ground surrounding your property or the wood in the home structure. Another great way to prevent termites is tree trimming and clean gutters. When you allow leaves and branches to clog your gutters and cover your roof, it can easily become a magnet for termites. They Swarm When Warm Spring time is mating season for termites. Termites tend to swarm when they're about to create a colony. If you discover a swarm, an infestation is sure to follow. Prospective homeowners can save money in the long run by scheduling pest control inspections in the early stages that may allow for termite treatment during negotiations. Termite treatment could also mean not keeping woodpiles, firewood, foliage, or mulch too close to the home because they attract termites. When the damage is done, termites can cost you tons of money and most people discover the signs of termite damage when it's too late. Avoid being a statistic and be proactive. The structural damage they cause is not covered by Homeowner's Insurance. Do the right thing and make sure you're covered. Termites live in structured societies. Unlike the ants, they have a king. King and Queen termites are top members of the colony, and the rest have other distinctive jobs like the reproducing team and the soldiers. If they have wings, they belong to the reproductive team. It is highly recommended that you contact your local pest control expert to have your house fully inspected. Here are some of the signs to look out for if you think your house has a termite infestation:
1. Swarmers. A swarm of termites consists of adult male and female reproductives that leave their colonies in order to mate and to create a new colony. Look out for any swarm of termites flying around any light source you have, it may be inside or outside your home. Having a swarm of termites outside your home doesn’t really mean your home is infested, but it is still advisable to check around your house for any termite mud-tunnels. Having a swarm of termites in a light source you have in your home may be a sign of trouble. You may have a termite infestation. Check your wood structures that are located near the light source where the swarm of termites is, it may be possible that their nest or colony is in one of those wood structures. 2. Discarded wings. When you sweep the floor in your home, make sure to look out for any discarded wings. Discarded wings can be a sign of a termite infestation. This happens after the adult or reproductive termites have mated. These reproductive termites find their pairs then if it’s time for them to mate, they crawl to a nesting site and that is when they start to create a new colony. 3. Mud tubes or mud tunnels. Termites need moisture to live. These hollow tunnels are made of mud to protect them from heat and from getting dry especially when they march their way from their nest to the food source. These tubes are the calling card of subterranean termites which are usually seen in your basement or inside the walls of your house. Termites may have excavated the wood making it very thin and when a portion is broken, they cover up the holes with the mud they use which is made of soil, saliva and their feces. Break open the mud tubes to see if there are still active termites in it. 4. Damaged wood Termites feed on dry wood. Which makes our home the source of their food. They consume the wood from the inside leaving a thin layer outside to protect them from getting dry. If you see any trail of mud-tunnel or termite damage, try knocking on it and you might hear a hollow sound because most of the inner part of the wood has already been consumed by the termites. The wood itself may also appear distorted or damaged and this is a sure sign that the termites have already been there and they may be looking for other wood structures to consume. Bugs’ are naturally from outdoors. Insects nesting in your home can be a huge problem. We humans need water, food, and shelter to survive, so does the insects. When it comes to finding shelter, insects may consider the inside of your home to take shelter especially during the winter or rainy seasons.
But, of course, insects do not belong inside our homes. One reason is they are quite unsanitary and they may carry contagious diseases. One way to prevent them from staying or sheltering in your home is to look for where they are nesting and immediately get rid of it. Here are other ways to insect-proof your home: 1. Secure any passage. This is one major step in keeping bugs away for it prevents them from entering your home. Windows, vents, and chimneys are just some of the places bugs can pass through. Make sure to repair any crack or gap in the wall or window screens. Also, seal your doors. Examine your doors carefully and you'll most likely see numbers of gaps, which makes a passage for the bugs. Install a door closer to keep your door closed especially if you have left it open or your kid forgot to close the door properly. 2. Cover large openings. Fill larger opening with the use of hardware cloth. Hardware cloth is a material you can staple over gaps or holes in order to keep those insects from entering your home. It also keeps squirrels and raccoons from getting in your chimneys or vents and they are also the source of fleas, ticks, and other insects. Make sure your vents’ dampers are operating properly. 3. Keep your eyes peeled. Once you sight any insect or any sign of insect nests, immediately take action. Check outside to see where the bugs usually hang out. Try to keep branches and shrubs away from your walls by having them trimmed or well groomed so bugs won't have any passage into your home. 4. Store your trash properly. We usually throw our rotten food in our trash bins without thinking that its scent could attract insects, mainly roaches, and ants. Proper storage of your trash is one way of preventing bugs from feasting on your trash cans. Trash cans should be emptied every night and must have a lid to keep it closed. 5. Clean your home regularly. Bugs do love a messy place. Keeping your home clean is one of the best ways to keep those insects away. Keep your trash cans sealed and vacuum regularly or always sweep the floor to get rid of any food crumbs on the floor. 6. Keep your food sealed. After hosting or throwing a party at home, you may still have a lot of leftover foods. It’s best that you keep them properly sealed and inside the fridge. We do love to keep fruits on our tables. One is because they do make a nice table centerpiece, but it doesn't mean bugs won't feast on the fruits. 7. Consider natural predators. Bats are one of the natural predators. They feed on insects especially the small annoying ones. And since they are only awake during the night, you won't even notice them. Same goes for the birds. They also feed on bugs. You can provide trees and some bushes where these predators can nest to. 8. Look out for any water leaks. It’s best that you keep your home dry. Some insects need water to breed and also for their consumption. Just like the Mosquitos, they lay their eggs on any wet areas and it could start an infestation. Pipes under your sink or in the bathroom can be leaky so make sure you regularly check your pipes and have them repaired if there are any leaks. 9. Install Screens There are a variety of screens to choose from. Make sure to get the ones that won't easily have holes. Having screens on your window will help you enjoy the feeling of fresh air without worrying about insects getting in. But do make sure to install it properly so you won't create any passage for the insects and regularly check your screens for any holes. 10. Keep your home’s foundations clear. Your home's foundations are also one of the most common entry spots for bugs. Keep them clear to reduce any infestation. Ants, Spiders, Termites, and fleas are some of the insects that are good at breeding and thriving in wet areas, so make sure to keep your foundations dry at all cost. Regularly check your foundation for any gaps. 11. Maintain your yard. Your yard is home to tons of different kinds of insects, and you should always keep it maintained. Mosquitoes breed in water. To reduce the mosquitoes population, do eliminate your pool’s water in your yard and keep your pool’s water chlorinated and filtered. It's also important to regularly maintain your gutters and drains. Are you planning to put up a garden? Or you already have an existing one? Or you just want to have a beautiful yard perfect for a peaceful picnic? Well, sure you can have all of those but there could be some problems. Insects, pests, or whatever you want to call them, exist everywhere, especially outdoors. If you’re a gardener, you don’t want to have dead leaves, flowers, or crops because of these pests. If you are a person starting to grow a garden, you wouldn’t want to have these crawlers give you problems. And if you’re a person who just wants to enjoy a peaceful picnic, you don’t want ants or other insects crawling on your food. You can stop, prevent, and eliminate them. You can call for a pest exterminator to eliminate them and solve your problem. 8/23/2018 5 Comments 7 Tips To Prevent Pantry PestsThe pantry is one of the best rooms in the house, food is everywhere, it’s the best especially if it’s filled with all of your favorite goodies. They poop a lot, these poop and pee a lot these poop and pee are hard to see, what makes it dangerous is that they might have peed in your glass or food without you noticing, and you have accidentally had contact with their waste, transmitting the disease to you. If you have a fresh and open wound avoid contact with mice in your wound, it will easily transmit disease. Rat infestation A rat infestation just has the same negative effects that a mice infestation has, but rats are bigger which makes it easy to see them and catch them, but they’re bigger that’s why they carry more parasites, and their bites can really cut you since they have bigger teeth. And another worst thing about rats than mice is that they destroy property or structure more than mice Termite infestation A termite infestation is one of the worst, they eat wood, but not only wood they eat anything made of a plant of a tree. Each colony has thousands of termites, and each termite doesn’t sleep they work 24 hours a day every day, and most of their work is eating. In a month they consume a large component of a wood structure in your home. They also work silently which makes it hard to detect them. Having termite infestation is really dangerous, they eradicate the foundation of your home making your house fragile, and eventually could end up having accidents or destructions in your house. Cockroach infestation Cockroaches are dirty and really smelly, it could be so embarrassing if you have visitors around and they see roaches in your home, it just shows how dirty your home is. Not only that, they eat our food and contaminate them, they also carry diseases and they could also bite you. Cockroaches breed a lot too, they lay eggs a lot. One cockroach could end up to 50 cockroaches so make sure to get rid of them right away
7/31/2018 9 Comments Tips to Avoid Termite InfestationTermites, causes one of the most destructive pests infestation there is. It really is hard when you have a termite infestation in your home, because most of the time, especially when the infestation has just started, they damage your home silently. Most of the time we don’t see them especially the ones inside your walls or roofs. We are most likely to discover a termite infestation when they have greatly damaged a structure in your home, and by that, it means they already have been infesting your home for a long time. Termites eat more than just wood, they like to eat anything made of plants or trees, especially rotten ones, some also were discovered eating plastics.
Termites eat not as quick as you think, a large colony could consume 1 pound of wood a day, it may seem small but what if you’ve got a very large colony in your home? It may have consumed more than just a pound. An average termite colony consists of 60,000 to 1,000,000 termites. That’s a lot for one colony, but what if you’ve got a huge colony now? Additionally, given the fact that they don’t sleep, and they work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, most of their work is eating. Which really is a bad thing. Given all these facts, these tiny insects are really one of the most destructive and dangerous pest infestations to have. That’s why you have to make sure your home is free of termites. Below are tips to avoid termite infestation. Get rid of moisture in your home Termites love moist areas, avoid moisture in your home, especially in the outdoors, termites live underground outdoors, so when you have moisture outside your home, that will attract termites that would eventually lead them to start an infestation in your home. So how do you get rid of moistures, make sure you don’t have leaking pipes, check your plumbing system. Make sure your roof drainage has no leaks too and disposes stormwater correctly. Check your home of damages Check your home if you have damages like holes, cracks, or any kind of openings. Check the walls, windows, and roofs. These openings are gateways for termites to enter your home. If you were able to locate an opening, have it repaired immediately. Hire a pest control Hiring a pest control is not just hiring them to exterminate a current infestation, you can hire them to inspect your house if you already have a termite infestation, you could also hire them to apply pest protection in your home. Hire a pest control from time to time, to inspect your home do it frequently, but regarding the types of furniture inside your home, you can do it by yourself. Another advice is, when your home is still under construction, hire a pest control to apply termite proofing in your house. Get rid of woods around your home Get rid of woods or papers around your home especially outdoors, I’m not talking about furniture or items, get rid of woods you don’t use, and garbages like papers, they would most likely consume them and eventually, it would lead them to your house. Bugs’ are naturally from the outside. Insects nesting in your home can be a huge problem. We, humans, need food, water and shelter to survive, so does the insects. When it comes to finding shelter, insects may consider the inside of your home to find shelter especially during the winter or rainy seasons. But, bugs do not belong inside our homes. One reason is they are quite unsanitary and they may carry contagious diseases. One way to prevent them from staying or sheltering in your home is to look for where they are nesting and immediately get rid of it. Here are other ways to insect-proof your home:
1. Secure any passage. This is one major step in keeping bugs away for it prevents them from entering your home. Windows, vents, and chimneys are just some of the spots bugs can pass through. To fill larger openings, use hardware cloth. This material comes in rolls that can be stapled over holes to keep out pests. Keep your trash cans sealed and vacuum regularly or always sweep the floor to get rid of any crumbs. 6. Keep your food sealed. After hosting or throwing a party at home, you may still have a lot of leftover foods. It’s best that you keep them properly sealed and inside the fridge. We do love to keep fruits on our tables, one is because they do make a nice table centerpiece, but it doesn't mean bugs won't feast on the fruits. 7. Consider natural predators. Bats are one of the natural predators. They feed on insects especially the small annoying ones. And since they are only awake during the night, you won't even notice them. Same goes for the birds. They also feed on bugs. Provide trees and bushes where these predators can establish nests. Add a fresh water supply, and change it often. 8. Look out for any water leaks. It’s best that you keep your home dry. Mosquitoes would lay their eggs on any wet areas and it could start an infestation. Pipes under your sink or in the bathroom can be leaky. 9. Install Screens There are a variety of screens to choose from. Make sure to get the ones that won't easily have holes. Having screens on your window will help you enjoy the feeling of fresh air without the annoyance of insects. Do make sure to install it properly so you won't create any passage for the insects and do regularly check your screens for any holes. 10. Get ants out naturally Use vinegar. Ants hate vinegar and you should consider using it for the meantime just to get rid of them. Ants will also shy away from black pepper, red chili powder, and mint. 11. Keep your home’s foundations clear. Your home's foundations are also one of the most common entry spots for bugs. Keep them clear to reduce any infestation. Termites, ants, fleas, and spiders are particularly good at breeding and thriving in wet areas, so make sure to keep you foundations dry at all cost. Check for gaps along the foundation and siding joints as well. 12. Maintain your yard. Your yard is home to tons of different kinds of insects, and you should always keep it maintained. Mosquitoes breed in water. To reduce the mosquito population, do eliminate your pool’s water in your yard and keep your pool’s water chlorinated and filtered. It's also important to regularly maintain your gutters and drains. Rather than cheese, bits of cereal, cookies, sugar cubes or peanut butter would be more enticing to mice 5. Cats control miceCats only catch and eat mice when they are hungry, but if a cat is full, it will just chase it because it wants to play with the mouse. Truth is, domesticated cats aren't always interested in being your pest control technician. While they may chase mice and catch one occasionally out of a playful spirit, household cats don't always see mice as a threat that they need to eliminate. 6. Rodents constantly chew to keep their teeth sharp. The main reason mice chew on woods and soft metals is to create openings for nesting materials. 7. You may think that your home is clean of any pests because you don't see it but it may be possible that there may be pests living in the inner parts of your home mainly, the walls of your house.
