Keep away you Pesky Pest

Ants can be such pesky pest that can enter your home within hours without you noticing. We know they travel together so where there is one, you can bet there’s more. You can always go out and buy a few cans of ant killer but you may have a few items in your home that will help you keep ants out without ever having to leave. Let’s explore a few ways that can help keep them from entering your life and your home, here we go.

Vinegar and water always does the trick. What you do is find an empty spray bottle and pour half water half white distilled vinegar in it, shake it and spray around all window seals, doorways, and any other place ants could enter through. This is something you could do once a week or as often as you see fit.

If you don’t like the smell of vinegar don’t worry, I have another solution for you. Instead of using vinegar, you could use 3 parts lemon juice, 1 part water as an ant deterrent. Spraying the same areas of entrance, this should keep the ants out and smells better.

If you enjoy the smell of peppermint then you will enjoy this last one as peppermint is also an ant deterrent. Peppermint has a very strong fragrance that ants cannot tolerate. For this remedy, you will need peppermint essential oil, water, and an empty bottle. In this bottle you will give the peppermint essential oil(brand does not matter) 10 good shakes, fill it up about half way with water, give that a few shakes and spray any potential entry point. This will keep the ants out.
As always, do any of the above once a week or as often as needed.
