That’s why it is advisable to ask help from Professional Bed Bug Exterminators, who are well-experienced and know the strategic ways to get rid of them, down from their nests. But, understanding and knowing what attracts them may help us prevent them from coming into our homes. We can plan ahead and do some preventive measures before they start growing their family! Here are things to look at that attracts bed bugs into your home: Room and Body TemperatureThe first thing you need to know about bed bugs is that they’re attracted to warmth or heat. And we, as humans, are usually the warmest inside the bedroom with our natural body heat - which keeps them attracted to us. They will seek you out and prey on you, especially while you’re sleeping. Human BreathingBed bugs are also attracted to carbon dioxide, which is what we produce while we breathe. This is one way of signaling the bed bugs that their prey (us) is asleep. Since we do not move around much during sleep, the carbon dioxide we produce stay around our head which then attracts these pesky bugs. Your ClothingBed bugs hate to crawl on your clothes. We would think that wearing long sleeves and pajamas may prevent them from biting you - but this will just cause them to crawl on your uncovered skin, which may be your face or neck. And this is what we would really hate! Of course, Your Skin!Bed bugs prey on us by feeding through our skin. And, another fun but terrible fact you should know about bed bugs is that they can live up to a year without feeding. So thinking of applying an everyday essential oil, lotion, or other products isn’t just worth it! Surrounding EnvironmentLet’s face it - your surroundings will always work against you in your battle with the bed bugs. There would always be places for the bed bugs to hide and produce - your new mattress, furniture, cabinets, nook and crannies, and more! SheetsGreen, yellow, and white - these are the colors that are unattractive to bed bugs - which research says they will like they’re more in the open, making them feel exposed. On the other hand, they prefer black and red sheets. Knowing the colors they hate won’t help you much, because when they get hungry, they will be willing to cross the uncomfortable just to feed! What to do?!What can you do about these menacing bed bugs? Well, if you still don’t see signs of them being present, then some preventive measures can be applied. As for them being present, it is best to ask help from Professional Bed Bug Exterminators, as they are not that easy to get rid of with DIY Bed Bug Extermination.
